Eligibility for MTTC Reading Specialist Test


To appear for MTTC Reading Specialist Test, applicant should make sure that he/she meets all the prescribed eligibility conditions of the education board. Candidate should hold a bachelor degree from state or national university. Applicant should also have mastery in the subject from state approved college. Candidate should be atleast 21 years of age. Candidates applying out of state should have three years of teaching experience to get permission for teaching in Michigan State. Format of MTTC Reading Specialist Test


MTTC Reading Specialist Test includes multiple choice questions. Scoring of Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Reading Specialist Test is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. Candidate needs to appear for MTTC Basic Skills Exam to prove his proficiency in basic subjects. This exam includes testing reading, writing and mathematical ability of the candidate. The total duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes. If the candidate falls short of the marks then he is liable to reappear in the exam in the next schedule itself.
