MTTC Health Test Study Guide
MTTC Health Test is conducted to assess aspiring candidates on the standards of Michigan Department of Education. Candidate who clears this exam gets the permission to teach in Michigan State as a Health Teacher. Score of Michigan Test for Teacher Certification is valid for the period of five years. Therefore candidate should study well to get good score in the first attempt itself.
Eligibility for MTTC Health Test
Candidate should meet all the eligibility criteria of the board to appear for MTTC Health Test. Candidate should have bachelor degree from state/national university. Candidate should also have mastery in the subject from state approved college. Applicants age should be minimum 21 years. Candidates applying out of state should have three years of teaching experience, without it only non renewable certification will be issued by the board. Candidate should get passing marks in the exam to get liable for MTTC certification.
Format of MTTC Health Test
MTTC Health Test includes multiple choice questions. Time given to attempt the test is 270 minutes. MTTC Health Test is scored on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. If the candidate falls short of the marks, then he can appear again in the exam after the gap of certain period.
MTTC Basic Skills Exam candidate needs to prove his proficiency in general subjects apart from the subject fundamentals. There are 85 multiple choice questions in the exam and one subjective question in this exam. MTTC Basic Skills Exam includes three sections reading, writing and mathematics. Candidate needs to clear all the three sections to get the certification.
