MTTC Learning Disabilities Test Study Guide

MTTC Learning Disabilities Test is administered by Michigan Department of Education to grant certification to eligible candidates. After getting this certification, candidate gets the permission to teach in Michigan State as an educator. For getting this certification candidate needs to prove his competency in core subject area and in general areas of reading and writing. Eligibility for MTTC Learning Disabilities Test

To appear for MTTC Learning Disabilities Test, candidate should meet all the following eligibility conditions of the education board:-

• Applicant should have bachelor degree from state and national university.
• Applicant should have specialization from state approved college.
• Applicant should have three years of teaching experience (required only for out of state applicants)
• Applicants age should be at least 21 years.

Those candidates who lack teaching experience can still apply however for the non renewable certification from the board.

Format of MTTC Learning Disabilities Test

MTTC Learning Disabilities Test includes multiple choice questions. Evaluation of MTTC Learning Disabilities Test is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. Candidate can reappear for the exam if in case candidate falls short of the marks however after certain period of time. MTTC Basic Skills Exam is complementary exam which candidate needs to pass to get the credentials from the education board. MTTC Basic Skills Test includes three sections reading, writing and mathematics. Altogether there are 85 multiple choice questions and one subjective question in the exam. Total duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes.
