GACE Agricultural Education Exam Study Guide


Studying agriculture is important as it teaches the students about the basic concepts of the field. Concepts build in this age can help them to adopt this subject as their profession. To test candidates efficiency Georgia Professional Standards Commission conducts GACE Agricultural Education Exam. Candidate passing Georgia Assessment for Certification for Educators gets the certification for teaching in the Georgia state. GACE board offers several facilities for the candidates. Candidate can fill in the application form through internet, telephone or in paper format. But candidate should not forget to sign the application form as well as answer sheet. Otherwise the score will be declared as null and void. GACE Agricultural Education Exam is composed of two sub tests. Each sub test is inclusive of several objective questions and one subjective question. Candidate can take GACE Agricultural Education Exam in either of the modes- computer or pen pencil format.

Eligibility for GACE Agricultural Education Exam


To appear for GACE Agricultural Education Exam, candidate should hold atleast a bachelor degree and mshould be enrolled in any state approved college. If the candidate is already having certification and degree he can directly apply for the GACE certification. Candidate gets the certification which will be renewable from time to time.

Format of GACE Agricultural Education Exam


Structure of GACE Agricultural Education Exam is as follows :- Test 1

Basics of agriculture and its education :- Objective questions - 27 and subjective question - 1

Business management, agricultural economics and its marketing :- Objective questions - 13 and subjective question - 1

Mechanics and technology in agriculture field :- Objective questions - 20 and subjective questions - null

Score of GACE Agricultural Education Exam is evaluated on the scale of 100-300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks. Candidate should keep in mind that 80% weightage of marks is given to objective section and 20% on subjective questions.

Test 2

Animal physiology :- Objective questions -16 and subjective questions- 1

Plant physiology :- Objective questions -33 and subjective questions- 1

Management of natural resources and environment :- Objective questions -11 and subjective questions- 0

In GACE Agricultural Education Exam subtest II, 80 % weightage is given to objective questions and rest to the subjective query.

Syllabus of GACE Agricultural Education Exam


Syllabus of GACE Agricultural Education Exam include following topics :-

  • Principles and procedures of forestry
  • Interaction between environment and agriculture
  • Floriculture and its development
  • Developing nursery
  • Plant physiology and anatomy
  • Genetics in plants
  • Soil science and physiology etc.

The above mentioned topics are very important from examination point of view. Candidate should study these topics well to get fair marks in the exam. If the candidate falls short of the marks in any of the sub test, then he is liable to appear again in the exam only after 30 days.
